Art in the Garden
June 8th from
11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Who would think in the small community of Letcher, South Dakota, there would be a celebration of Arts? Well, believe it! It will be tons of fun for young and old alike. Artists will be creating and selling South Dakota art on site. Take a stroll along the tall shade trees at 40307 241st Street and sip a lemonade as you peruse the magnificent artwork–pottery, jewelry, photography and paintings in oil, watercolor and acrylic. For your listening pleasure, the acoustic guitar styling of Michael Whisler plus Clarence Larson playing the harp. For a fine dining experience pull up to the picnic tables and have something from the menu of Sal’s Drive Inn, which is a Letcher cafe’ icon. Sound like fun?? You betcha!
Call Cindy at Prairie Breeze Gallery (996-5402) for more information.

Are you getting your 3-A-Day of Dairy? On the average, Americans eat only half the daily recommended servings of dairy. 3-A-Day of Dairy was created as a reminder to get 3 daily servings of milk, cheese, or yogurt for stronger bones and better health.
The Butler Boosters 4-H Club will be providing nutritional information and holding drawings for dairy giveaways during the Community Rummage Sale on May 31st to promote June Dairy Month.
Make sure to stop at their booth and get your 3-A-Day!

Many properties were cleaned and four tractors hauled out dead trees. The swimming pool was painted and the bath house received fresh paint. It was a great day!
