Economic Development Strategies & Entrepreneurial Support Seminar
An Economic Development Strategies & Entrepreneurial Support Seminar was held on February 7th at the 4-H Building in Forestburg. Several communities were represented at the seminar, including Artesian, Forestburg, Letcher, Iroquois, Montrose, Oldham, Woonsocket, and Wessington Springs.
Professor Gerald W. Warmann with the SDSU Department of Economics discussed assessing your community’s capacity for economic development and presented a profile using a local county. Dr. Larry Swain from Brookings gave a presentation on entrepreneurship and talked about how to support new business ventures and resources available to sustain them.
